VHA Georgia Councils offer a forum for members to share best practices, participate in benchmarking projects and work collectively to create a positive impact in their organizations. Operating based on these simple principals, VHA Georgia members have leveraged the power of these networks to document results otherwise unattainable.
Below is a list of the VHA Georgia networks including councils, forums and roundtables. Councils are defined as meeting quarterly and must conduct their meetings according to the three principals of operation mentioned above. Forums and Roundtables meet twice a year and once a year, respectively, and are designed to offer education and networking.
Each year VHA Georgia documents regional savings back to its members via regional programs and services, cooperative returns, and contract savings. Since inception of the council Principals of Operation, VHA Georgia's regional value documented through council activities has accounted for 75 percent of our total documented savings.
To recognize the exceptional results achieved through council initiatives, VHA Georgia implemented the Outstanding Council of the Year Award. Each award recipient receives a Board resolution, recognition at our annual VHA Georgia Regional Leadership Expo, and a plaque on the wall of the board room.
In addition to the Outstanding Council of the Year, VHA Georgia acknowledges councils that merit recognition of their efforts and accomplishments that may not meet the criteria for Council of the Year. We are pleased to highlight the following councils for their outstanding leadership.
