Leadership Awards Program
VHA Georgia Leadership Awards Program recognizes and awards best practices that demonstrate improved financial or clinical performance within their organization. VHA Georgia member organizations are eligible to submit. Further details are below including the timeline, application and reveiw process, poster session and awards ceremony. - Application and Winner Selection Process
- VHA Georgia members are asked to submit a best practice from their organization that demonstrates clinical, operational, and/or financial improvement.
- Applications are submitted online by August 1. They must be blinded and include a detailed explanation of the project scope, the problem statement, the identified action plan, and demonstrated results and outcomes. Click here for the application template and further details.
- By submitting an application, you are agreeing to share this project via a poster session at the September 12 Leadership Expo. Guidelines for submitting a poster are below.
- All applications submitted online are reviewed by a panel of peer reviewers who score each content area on a five-point scale. Scores are aggregated and the applications with the highests scores are the winners of the VHA Georgia Regional Leadership Award. Interested in serving as a peer reviewer? Click here.
- Winners are announced in a celebratory luncheon as part of the Leadership Expo where all applications are featured at the poster session. All applications will be recognized with a certificate of participation and the winners will be recognized with a VHA Georgia Regional Leadership Award.
- Poster Session and Awards Ceremony
- By submitting an application, members agree to share their best practice with other VHA Georgia members in a poster session at the annual VHA Georgia Regional Leadership Expo.
- VHA Georgia will provide an 8' x 4' board (8' wide and 4' tall) to which you can mount your poster as well as mounting equipments.
- The poster should summarize your application similar to the application template.
- All posters will be recongized with a certificate of participation.
- Pre-selected winners via the peer review process will be announced at the conclusion of the Leadership Expo during the Awards Luncheon.
