Benchmarking Reports and Data Submittal Sites

VHA Georgia offers several benchmarking reports based on member needs and requests. Below is a brief description of our current reports:

CFO Monthly Financial Indicators

Created from VHA Georgia’s CFO council, this monthly report benchmarks various financial metrics decided by the council members.

ED Throughput

As part of our ongoing throughput efforts, many of VHA Georgia member hospitals are benchmarking key throughput indicators including door to physician, door to discharge and door to admission. This monthly report allows the ED council and other key councils to determine areas of opportunity for throughput improvement.

Human Resources Quarterly Report

Created by members of the VHA Georgia Human Resources Council, this report allows members to compare and trend their key human resources metrics. Examples include vacancy rates, retention rates, and agency usage.

Lab Turnaround Times

Developed by members of the VHA Georgia Laboratory Council, this report provides monthly data specific to turn-around times from the emergency department and lab that assists in identifying process flow opportunities.

Pharmacy Antimicrobial Costs

As part of VHA Georgia antimicrobial stewardship efforts, this report benchmarks costs for the Anti-infective Agents therapeutic class of drugs. Data was originally collected for drug costs in 2007 and then again in 2010.

Supply Chain Indicators

VHA Inc. provides a national benchmarking report of key supply chain metrics among its membership. Reports are quarterly and can be accessed from VHA Inc.’s website.

Upcoming Initiatives

Under active development; these executive dashboards will include key metrics from VHA Georgia’s various reports as well as other executive metrics in a succinct, comparative format.
